The two most important historical places in Franklin County are the Louisburg College and the Laurel Mill. The Louisburg College was founded in 1814. It was meant to be a female college, but this all changed in the following years. The Louisburg College is still one of the oldest private junior colleges. It has been offering Associate degrees in arts, sciences, and business to its students for the last 215 years. More than 90% of its graduates move onto four-year colleges and universities and this really makes a good image to anyone.

Franklin County is thus a very interesting place to visit for people of all ages. No one can complain that he or she is not able to find an exciting thing to do in this county. Even if it is not a bit like the crowded cities we are used to live in, it may be a nice change from the ordinary life we lead. The countryside will never stop amazing people, especially those who have lived their whole lives in a big city!
